Write a paragraph describing Intentional Creativity in your own words.

This is a writing exercise to support you in sharing about how you began your journey with Intentional Creativity. The circumstances you were in, who introduced you to the method, and the details of how you joined the Intentional Creativity Lineage are a fun and engaging story.

A Creative Bio highlights your accomplishments in paragraph form as well as your influences, experiences, and your artistic perspective. You'll want to include

  • Relevant education, experience or training including mention of your Intentional Creativity Training.
  • Important exhibits, accolades, awards.
  • Influences and inspirations for your artistic direction
  • A description of your current offerings (workshops, private practice etc).
  • A description of your current work or projects
  • Where you were born and where you currently live.
  • Something quirky and inspiring to elevate it to a 'creative' bio!

Expect your bio to be about a half a page in length. Include in your Initiate Book with a current photo of yourself that represents your teacher self. (Photo dimensions are up to you.)

An Artist’s Statement is a declaration of your artist self and explanation of "why you do what you do".

Consider the following as way to begin: What is your inspiration for creating? Is there a guiding value or idea that informs your work? What is the emotional point of view of your work? What is your style and techniques and themes? Is there a problem being solved or tended to in the world? What is your medium? What does it look like? (Size, colors, shapes, textures, light, objects, relationships, etc.) How is your art related to the way you look at life? What was your process and what did you use to create the work? How can you talk about the work from a conceptual and/or emotional point of view?  What was the process of development for the work? What do you want people to know about your work? How long have you been creating? Are there influences or teachings that impact your work or style? Is your work connected with movements of social justice, ecology, equal rights? How is your art connected with your spiritual path?

Your SOULWork Project is a culminating presentation exploring Intentional Creativity as applied to a personal interest. Plan to take 6-8 hours taking your interest "to the next level". Document in the way that makes sense: writing, link to a hosted URL, etc.
