TEACHING PRACTICE EVENTS

During this Training you will teach a minimum of four events. Those who have active existing businesses can weave these into current paid offerings. Those of you who are new to teaching or don't have active clients, we recommend treating these workshops as practice. It's a great start to ask a couple friends to be your students. You can also teach sessions to one another if you aren't able to coordinate participants, but we recommend trying to teach to folks who aren't familiar with the culture - as it will help you develop your own language around sharing Intentional Creativity.

PRACTICE TEACHING EVENT ONE

Half Day Session with two or more participants.

For this first practice teaching event we recommend following one of the IC Session project templates: Soulful Story Cards, Creating Your Medicine Basket or House of the Heart. We suggest scheduling this event before December 31.

You will share the following from your session:

    1. two or more photos from your event including the completed creations. Other photos might included participants - with permission, the altar, or a photo of your hands with the red threads. If via Zoom, a screenshot of participants is great.
    2. one or more testimonials from participants
    3. a brief write up with the theme of your session and what you learned during your experience.

⭐️ Upload favorite photo, testimonial and reflections in Submissions plus share it ALL in the group with hashtag #eventone

PRACTICE TEACHING EVENT TWO

Longer one day session with two or more participants.

For this second practice teaching event we recommend Muse Fuse, or the Amused process on watercolor paper OR you can shift to canvas and teach an optional painting class such as Dancing Between Worlds.  We suggest scheduling this event before March 31st.

⭐️ Upload favorite photo, testimonial and reflections in Submissions plus share it ALL in the group with hashtag #eventtwo

PRACTICE TEACHING EVENT THREE

Red Thread Circle with your 2 or more Peers (between 40-60 minutes).

For this third practice teaching event you will host a themed Circle for peers in your cohort group following the Red Thread Circle format in The Way of the Red Thread Guidebook. (See especially pages 68-78; 268-285; 300-301 and 310-313.)

In addition to leading one circle, please commit to attending at least two.  We suggest scheduling the required circles for your cohort group between January and May.

⭐️ Upload the reflections below in Submissions

  1.  What was your theme for the circle and why did you choose it?
  2. What stories or teachings did you focus on? Which inquiries did you use? What did you use for your opening and closing?
  3. Who attended and what was notable in your experience of leading and participating in this circle with your peers?
  4. What did you do well? What do you feel you need to practice and grow into?
  5. Is there anything else you'd like to share?

PRACTICE TEACHING EVENT FOUR

Two day 13 Step painting workshop for two or more participants.

We recommend you develop a theme that really calls you. You could use a course template that you enjoyed and adapt it so that it feels personal or use the 13 steps and build your own.

Note - the two day minimum is recommended for your ease. While it is possible to teach the 13 steps in one day, it is more difficult. If you and your participants can do the full two days, we recommend it! And if you can only schedule a single day, watching the Visionary Livestream from 2014 which give tips on teaching in one day. You will share the following from the workshop:

  1. Overview of your workshop including the theme and agenda.
  2. Two or more photos. At least one photo must be the finished paintings.
  3. One or more testimonials from participants.
  4. A brief write up of what you learned during your experience.

⭐️ Upload favorite photos, testimonial and reflections in Submissions plus share it ALL in the group with hashtag #13Steps
